under the tuscan sun.

enjoying our peaceful time in tuscany... just looking at these photos, i can hear the silence and the birds chirping. can't wait to go back!

outfit deets:
dress: urban outfitters (only $59 and comes in 3 colors, thinking i need the black one, too) | sandals: circus by sam edelman (for under $50, i have these in 2 colors, i highly recommend them!) | necklace: stella & dot | bracelet: vita fede

to say that tuscany was our favorite is an understatement. we stayed at this heavenly castle on a hillside: Catello di Velona Spa Resort & Winery ...

... with 360 degree views of the endless, luscious landscape.

located in Montalcino where they are known for there red wine, Brunello to be precise, we became quite the tuscan wine connoisseurs.

relaxation at its finest

a visit to tuscany wouldn't be complete without a wine tasting tour. and like i mentioned, Brunello is the name of the game, so red wine it is, and man is it delicious!

first stop, Biondi-Santi

there is a domesticated pack of wolves that live on this property! wow!

last stop (and our favorite), Sestadisopra
this small, family run winery was so amazing! Ettore (pictured below) lives here and runs his own winery with his wife and family. they hosted us for a private tasting, tour and storytelling. an unforgettable experience with a special italian family.

a day trip to florence took us to see the original David at the Accademia. it was truly breathtaking and absolutely worth seeing! pictures will never do it justice.

classic and endless views

we spent a quick 48 hours in rome! there wasn't a lot of time for outfit pics, but I still wanted to share our travel highlights with you! ...with a sprinkle of style :)

vest: forever 21 (other options here and here) | bucket bag: j.crew | jumpsuit: aritzia (similar here) | sandals: club monaco (alt colors avail here and here, other picks i love here, here and here)

rome is really all about the history and the sights, so the first stop was the pantheon and an afternoon bite in the campo di fiori...

we stayed at the DOM Hotel. a nice spot, centrally located on via guila.

the rooms were modern but the building featured original detailing, giving it a nice roman touch.

julie on via giulia ;)

julie's outfit deets:

shirt: rails | shorts: rag & bone | sneaks: comme des garcons converse

enjoying the city...

the tiber river at sunset...

an ancient roman tour featuring the church of san clemente, the colosseum and the roman forum...

julie's top: current/elliot | vest: club monaco
my shirt: rails

an afternoon stroll took us to the trevi fountain, the spanish steps and for some gelato of course...

finished off with a tour of vatican city...

amalfi coast.

some snaps from our afternoon in positano. dreaming of being back there!
and these pieces are a few of my favs for summer! the shorts come in every shade and the sandals are the perfect gladiator without going too over the top.

top: urban outfitters | shorts: rag & bone (also in dark denim, light denim & white) | sandals: club monaco

In the Amalfi Coast, we stayed at the Belmond Hotel Caruso in Ravello, and it was heaven!
A luxurious hotel with a perfect infinity pool and stunning coastal views.

hats: j.crew & banana republic (similar here & here)

When we visited Positano one afternoon, we enjoyed the quaint town and charming streets. We ended up dining at Le Sirenuse and enjoyed their Champagne and Oyster Bar. Great ambiance, delicious oysters and a perfect landscape of the colorful hillside. Ciao Bella!
